My Journey
I am a firm believer in a strong mind-body connection. The relationship between our mental and emotional state and our physical health is something that I focus on both personally and professionally.
I started my yoga practice over 20 years ago when I was in high school. When I began my therapy training at Northwestern, I was introduced to the practice of mindfulness and meditation as an effective way to treat anxiety, depression, and psychological distress. I now utilize mindfulness to become a more calm and regulated practitioner, and I teach mindfulness as a tool for my clients.

Yoga Poses
“Being conscientious and intentional in what we do, being open and creative with possibilities, or being aware of the present moment without grasping onto judgments-being mindful is a state of awareness that enables us to be flexible and receptive and to have presence."
Siegel, The Mindful Therapist
“If there is no stillness, there is no silence. If there is no silence, there is no insight. If there is no insight, there is no clarity."
Tenzin Priyadarshi
