Training & Experience

I'm so happy you are here! Selecting a therapist who is a good fit is an important component of effective therapy. If you are interested in working together, I'd like for you to get to know my background and experience.

I've been practicing therapy for 15 years. I obtained my master’s degree from Northwestern University in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT). While in my master's program, I gained clinical experience with diverse clientele at the Bette D. Harris Family and Child clinic. I also provided parent training to families of children ages 2 to 6 in downtown Chicago.

I went on to pursue a PhD in MFT from Florida State University. I worked at FSU's Center for Couple and Family Therapy and delivered an evidence-based parenting program called the "Incredible Years." In addition, I worked at an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) focused on treating families with substance use issues.

After receiving my doctorate, I moved to San Francisco where I trained therapists as an Assistant Professor in a Couple and Family Therapy program. I also taught courses in Family Relationship, Counseling, and Parenting in the Department of Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) at FSU.

Now, I own a private practice in Tallahassee, FL. Owning my own business grants me the flexibility to work with individuals, couples, and families in therapy.

About Me

I'm originally from New Orleans and daydream about my hometown's food, music, and liveliness. Aside from work, I enjoy travel, being outdoors, practicing yoga, community engagement, and spending time with family and friends. I've been with my husband for 18 years (we met as undergrads at FSU) and am the mom of three very active children.
